About Ascend Hotel Collection

Ascend Hotel Collection is a “soft brand” of Choice Hotels International, launched in 2008 as the hotel industry’s first soft brand. It brings together independent resort, historic, and boutique hotels under one umbrella, letting each property keep its unique character while gaining global distribution and the Choice Privileges loyalty program. The collection counts 423 hotels open globally, with more than 70 in the pipeline. In May 2025, Choice streamlined the brand name to “Ascend Collection” and unveiled a new logo.

Ascend Hotel Collection Logo Meaning and History

The word “Ascend” suggests rising above the ordinary – fitting for a portfolio of distinctive upscale properties. The brand’s tagline, “let the destination reach you,” frames each hotel as a gateway to its locale. The 2025 logo redesign highlights the words “Ascend” and “Collection” in a clean, simplified, and elegant style that complements, rather than overshadows, each member hotel’s own identity.
