About Red Bull
Red Bull is an Austrian energy drink brand sold by Red Bull GmbH in Fuschl am See, Salzburg. Founded in 1984 by Dietrich Mateschitz and Chaleo Yoovidhya, creator of the Thai tonic Krating Daeng, it launched in Austria in 1987. It is now the world’s best-selling energy drink, known for slim blue-and-silver cans and the slogan “Red Bull gives you wings.”
Logo Meaning and History
The emblem shows two charging bulls before a golden sun disc, with the wordmark above. It was carried over from Krating Daeng — “krating” means a large wild bovine and “daeng” means red in Thai. The bulls convey strength and speed; the sun radiates energy. The wordmark uses capital R and B, and the emblem has remained essentially unchanged since launch.

Colors and Font
The logo uses bold red and golden yellow — red bulls with yellow outlines on a radiant sun disc. On cans, these sit against the signature blue-and-silver background. The wordmark is a custom typeface closely based on Futura. The red signals passion and energy, while the gold suggests vitality and success.
